Independent Living FAQ
Do you require an endowment or buy-in?
No. Residences at The Meridian are rented on a monthly basis with a one-time entry fee.
One-Time Entry Fees: $500 for a studio, one bedroom/bath or one bedroom/study residence
$750 for two bedroom/two bath residences.
Is there a minimum age for residents?
Yes. The minimum age requirement is 55 years old for residents.
Are family and friends able to visit overnight?
Yes. Guests are allowed to stay with you in your home or you may reserve a guest room
Are residences furnished?
Yes. We do offer some furnished residences for residents, but the majority of residents prefer to use their own furniture and accessories.
Is there a Wait List Program?
Yes. With our Wait List Program you can select the type of residence you desire.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Pets are allowed.
Are religious services offered?
Yes. We have an on-site chapel that provides non-denominational and special services. We also offer 24-hour pastoral care.
Who owns The Meridian?
The Meridian is privately owned and managed by RJ Meridian, LLP and one of the owners is a proud BOI (Born on the Island.)
